ABC Poem
First I found the poem is written in 1705. Therefore, you can change the vocabulary you like and near by our life. But there is no J line, it is very strange and a creative poem.
A Was an Archer
A was an Archer, and shot at a Frog;
B was a Blind-man, and led by a Dog;
C was a Cutpurse, and liv'd in disgrace;
D was a Drunkard, and had a red Face;
E was an Eater, a Glutton was he;
F was a Fighter, and fought with a Flea.
G was a Giant, and Glutton was he;
H was a Hunter, and hunted a Mouse;
I was an ill Man, and hated by all;
K was a Knave and he rob'd great and small;

The song can be substitute by words which begin by a~z.The purpose of teaching is letting children have fun in songs and have a little memorize with vocabulary begins a~z. You can add some TPR to let children memorize it, too! And there is a website which has lots of things that you can take a look! The song bellowing is also from First Grade Themes-Apples

What is Podcast?
Podcast is a combination of "i pod" and board casting originally through the RSS feeding. It can downland any media like power point, fashion movies, popular music , and so on into it. It uses not only in i pod or i Tunes, it also can use digital audio player from 2005. These informations could found in Wikipedia if you are interested. However, if you are not familiar with RSS as me, I find two videos from Youtube to introduce RSS: the first one introduced the concept of RSS and show me an example of Google reader; the second one introduced the example of Freereader. And these two examples below is very easy to understand even I am not very familiar with the computer.

Introduction of Pinky Una
I am Una from English-Teaching, English Department, Providence University, Taizhong County.
In my four years in Providence University, I learned some subjects which related about English Teaching following : English Teaching Method which discussed teaching principles , the educational theories ,the history and the development of the teaching methods and techniques; Second Language Acquisition which introduced current research in second language acquisition and focused on prominent research trends in the study of the language learner, the process of acquisition, and the interaction of the learner, language, and context ; English Assessment and Teaching which is talking about how to assess students successfully by varied test types; Teaching Children's Literature in English introduced how to use the genres of children’s literature into teaching; Computer-Assisted Language learning introduced how to use technology into teaching English and improved learners’ autonomy ;English Phonetic Teaching talked about how to design varied activities to motivate learners between phonetics; English Vocabulary and Grammar Teaching discussed how to design varied activities to motivate learners between vocabulary and grammar in English classes; Teaching Listening and Speaking in English discussed about the ways to teach listening and speaking and how to design appropriate lesson plans to fit learners; English Verse Teaching introduced how to use verses to teach English successfully and motivate learners to enjoy the rhythms and sounds; Language and Culture which discussed how language effects culture by usage of language; Applied Linguistic discussed how linguistics applied into teaching and current issues; English Children’s literature talked about the components effects children’s literature by knowing fairy tales, picture stories, and so on; English Teaching Practicing shared teaching ideas through really teaching students in the kindergarten of Da- Shou Elementary School in Taizhoung City for thirty hours from September in 2007 to January in 2008.
About teaching experiences, I had a little experience in teaching English.
I had been the teaching volunteers in weekends in Li-Ming Elementary School in Tai-Zhong County for six weekends from March to May in 2005 for theme-based teaching such as color and number. And I had been the English Teacher of summer camp in Jing-Xing Village in Chang-Hua County for six weekends from July to August in 2006 for teaching Phonetics. I also had been the English Teacher in Chao-Yue Cram School in Tai-Zhong County for ten months from September in 2006 to June in 2007 for teaching the textbook of Hess Educational Organization. By the way, I had been the English Volunteer Teacher in Gong-Guan Elementary School in Tai-Zhong County for summer-camp for one week in July, 2007. Besides, I have been an assistant in Giraffe American English School in Hua-Tan in Chang-Hua County in weekends about three years from July in 2005 to June in 2008 for improve learning strategies in English and the teacher of class of Phonics improving.
About my certificates about teaching English, I had gotten An Introduction To Teaching ESL/EFL form ELT Advantage of TESOL, TKT Module 1, Module 2, Module 3, which scores are not revealed yet, The Second Taiwan Colleges English Department Career E-Training by Caves Books. About my English proficiency, I had passed the level of medium of GEPT, and score 580 of TOEIC. About other certificates, I had got the word 2003 level Advanced of TQC, the ability of dealing with Microsoft Word 2003 of Providence University.
I have been an assistant in Giraffe American English School for three years until this July, and I had the experience of teaching volunteers in Li-Ming Elementary School for three months in 2005, in Gong-Guan Elementary School for one week summer-camp in2007. I had been the Summer English Teacher in the community of Jing-Xing in Chang-Hua in 2006. I also have been the English Teacher in Chao-Yue Cram School for ten months in 2006.
Why I set this blog is that our children is not familiar with English but forced to face, learn, even remember English since English as a Foreign Language in Taiwan. Most of children doesn't like to learn English. So, to let most of children like and love to learn English, I would like to post some creative and active games, stories, chants, and songs,which relate to one theme such as colors, to offer, exchange, and share our teaching ideas with our ELT teachers and workers. Let our children have postive and unstressful motivation to learn English.
The Santa is me and the picture is taken in Da-Shou kindergarten of Elementary School when we had an activity of Christmas.
